CLEMMONS Brenda Cox Beasley, 65 of Clemmons, entered into eternal peace at her home on July 16, 2013. Brenda was born on February 8, 1948, to the late Roy Cox and Gracie Collins Cox of Pilot Mountain. She graduated from East Surry High School. Brenda attended Clemmons First Baptist Church and was active in her Sunday school class. She loved and appreciated the members there and enjoyed participating in activities with them. She loved puzzles, was an avid reader and a fixture at the Clemmons Library. She always had a book in her hand. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jesse Cox. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughter, Anita Ogle and her husband, B. Scot of Advance; and two grandchildren, Meredith Glenn of Winston-Salem and Bryan Ogle of Advance. She was affectionately called Mema by her grandchildren. She devoted her life to their happiness and well being. Family was always her priority, thus she never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. A memorial service will be at Hillsdale Baptist Church, 4815 Hwy 158, Advance, NC 27006 on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason Whitaker officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Friends of Clemmons Library, 3554 Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012.
