Susanna Erwin was probably born in modern Montgomery county, Kentucky. Her parents were Samuel and Mary Harper Burcham. No record has been found for her marriage, but she married Robert Erwin about 1810. They were the parents of thirteen children. A marker for Susanna has not been found in the Hill cemetery, but it is the closest cemetery to lands owned by her and her husband. There is a marker for Susanna's daughter Martha Ann Erwin in the Hill cemetery.
