Served in the Army (9/5/1943 to 10/01/1945) in the 31st Tank Battalion- 3rd Armored Division in World War II. Carbine M1 sharpshooter. Northern France, Ardennes, Central Europe, Rhineland and Normandy. Good Conduct medal. Distinguished Unit Badge. European, African, Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.

Died in Sacramento County Hospital at age 62.
