Jennie Malissa Beach Mattingly, 92, Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed on September 20, 2005 in Tucson, AZ. Born in Louisville, KY on November 13, 1912. She is survived by daughters, Barbara (Robert) Nelson, Betty (Emron) Jenkins, Anita (Norman) Ehmke; and daughter-in-law, Nancy (Clarence G. "Buzz) Mattingly; sister, Betty Jean McGill of Louisville, KY; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence William Mattingly in 1972; and son, Clarence Gene "Buzz" Mattingly in 2003. Jennie traveled extensively throughout the world with family, all the while maintaining her independence and joy of life. She enjoyed excellent health until the last 90 days. She attributed this to her love of chocolate and staying trim. She enjoyed all aspects of her life from spending time with her family to swimming with stingrays in the Caribbean. A gifted licensed nurse, family history specialist, bookkeeper for Mattingly Painting Company, and Office Administrator for Outer Limits School for over 15 years and friend to many, Jennie will be remembered and cherished forever. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 1540 E. Linden on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 10 a.m. Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Bring's Broadway Chapel at 6910 East Broadway.
