Mrs Moore was born in Jefferson Co Wisconsin, in 1852. Educated at Milton College, and in 1873 became the wife of Dr. Moore who was then practicing his proffesion in Stoughton, Dane Co Wisconsin, where he remained until 1875 when, with his family he moved to this city. For about three years she had been a sufferer from that "dread disease" consumption, which slowly but steadily crept on with its terrible work of destruction. Last Christmas she attended a family reunion at her old home in the southern part of the state. The journey proved to be too much for her, and since her strength has rapidly failed, notwithstanding all the efforts which medical science could suggest to baffle the disease
