Edwin A "Eddie" Erdmann

Racine and Mesa Arizona - Mr Edwin A "Eddie" Erdman, 84, passed away in Mesa, Arizona on Sunday Jan 12 1997.

A lifetime resident, he was born in Racine on Feb 23 1912 to Phillip Jacob and Anna nee (Schaeffer) Erdmann. In Racine on Feb 25 1933, he was united in marriage to Elna K Nielsen.

He was a retired banker. Edwin Erdmann was one of the original founders of the Bank of Elmwood, and Secretary/Treasurer while the bank was being incorperated. He was a member of the board of directors and served as vice president when the bank opened in December, 1960. In 1973, Mr Erdmann was elected President of the bank and in 1974 became Vice Chairman of the board. he served in that capacity until his retirment in 1988. Previously Mr Erdmann was Secretary/Treasurer of Pro Auto Parts in Racine. He was active in the wholesale auto parts business
for more than 30 years. He was a member of Bethania Lutheran Church, Masonic Temple, Racine shrine Club, Racine Elks Lodge # 252, Rotary and Meadowbrook Country Club.

Surviving are his wife, Elna K Erdmann of Racine; daughters Carolyn (Jerry) Anderson of Mesa ARizona; Nancy (Tim) Yorgan of Racine; grandchildren Mark and John Anderson, Lisa Minkoff and Dale, Michael and Julie C Priaulx, great grandchildren Justin and Mallory Priaulx, Brian and Julie Anderson, and Michael Edwin "Eddie Mike" Minkoff, sister Lydia Monofeldt of Racine. Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip Jacob and Anna Erdmann, brothers Jacob and Paul and sister Mary.

A memorial service will be held at Bethania Lutheran Church 4120 Write Ave, Racine on Sunday Jan 19, 1997 at 2 p.m. with pastor Otto officiating. Internment will be in West Lawn. in Leiu of flowers donations to Rainbow acres Ranch P.O. 1326 Camp Verdi Arizona 86322 are requested.
