Mrs. Agness Dean Bryd age 87 of McMinnville, TN, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Rain Tree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville, TN. She was born November 17, 1925, in Cannon County, TN, was a retired employee of Magnetek Century Electric, and a member of Arlinton Church of Christ. Mrs. Bryd was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary (Ford) Melton, her husband Fred Bryd, and her sisters Pauline Frances, Ann Ruden, and Cindy Carmene Gunter Turner and a brother William Melton.
Survivors include a foster daughter Julia Kenney, Doyle, TN, and her brothers Horace Melton, McMinnville, TN, and Clebren Melton Murfressboro, TN. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survived.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Wayne Cantrell will officiate. Interment will follow at Blues Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again Tuesday from 9 A.M. until 2 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
