GEDDES -- Raymond M. Geddes, 96, Mokena, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 1991, in Draper Nursing Plaza, Joliet, after a brief illness. Born Oct. 23, 1894, in Davis Junction, Ogle County, son of William and Camilla Kipp Geddes. Lived in Kelly Lake, Wis., from 1961 to 1979, when he moved to Mokena. Married Alta May Carvey in Harvard, Oct. 3, 1917; she died December 1959. Then married Polly Rohn Krahn in West Palm Beach, Fla., Feb. 21, 1961; she died in 1976. Had been farmer; then worked at Boring Tractor, Plano. Then was tank truck driver for Bowman Dairy until his retirement in 1961; took leave of absences to work on construction of O'Hare Airport and Alaska Highway. Life member DeKalb Masonic Lodge 144, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and Milk Drivers Local 763 Pensioners.

Survivors include one daughter, Rae-Corinne (Edwin) Mazurek, Mokena; one grandson, John R. Mazurek, Brookfield; one granddaughter, Suan Krapf, Beaverton, Oregon; five great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Gladys Geddes, Roscoe; one stepdaughter-in-law, Peggy Schlender, Sawyer, Mich. Also predeceased by his parents and one son, Rex Geddes, March 13, 1990.

Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Blackhawk Chapel, South Beloit, with the Rev. Robert Ives officiating. Burial in Owen Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. to service Tuesday.
