Donald Gentry, 86, of Marietta, Georgia, died July 6, 2013. Funeral services were held at Kennesaw United Methodist Church with Dr. Wallace Wheeles officiating. Burial arrangements under the direction of Kennesaw Memorial Park.
A resident of Marietta since 1962, Donald was born in Blakely, Georgia to Junius and Pearl Gentry. Mr. Gentry received a Bachelor Degree from The University of Georgia in Agricultural Engineering and was a Veteran of The United States Army where he served in WW II. Donald was a member of Noonday Baptist Church and a member of The University of Georgia Alumni Association.
Mr. Gentry is survived by his wife Dorothy Gentry of Marietta; sons Donald Keith (Joy S.) Gentry, Sr. of Acworth, Kenneth S. (Tammy S.) Gentry of Douglasville; grandchildren Sgt. Donald Keith (Melissa) Gentry, Jr. of Acworth, James Kenneth Gentry of Acworth, Robert C. Gentry of Douglasville; great grandchildren Rush and Kaidence E. Gentry; sisters Mable G. Craft of Blakley, GA, Nadine G. Cheek of Senoa, GA and several nieces and nephews.
