“Mrs. Joyce Ann Carrico Lambert passed away Thursday, July 4th, 2013, at her home in Brinson, GA. Visitation will be held July 5th, 6th, and 7th at Mrs. Lambert’s home. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 8th, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Thaddeus Searles officiating, and interment following in Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Climax, Georgia. Joyce Ann Carrico Lambert was born February 27th, 1958 in Owensboro, Kentucky to William Edward Carrico and the late Beulah Mae Payne of Kentucky. Mrs. Lambert has been a resident of Decatur County for the last 33 years. Mrs. Lambert worked for the State of Florida in the Division of Administration Hearings as a secretary. She was of the Catholic faith, and was an associate member of Tama Community Church. Mrs. Lambert was a member of The Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe of Georgia, and was a member of the Reenacting Company 2nd Georgia Artillery Co. C. She was a volunteer at Westville in Lumpkin, Georgia, and at Rivers Alive. Mrs. Lambert was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to everyone she met. She was a homesteader, a novelist, and an animal lover. Mrs. Lambert loved to cook, and loved working with plants and flowers. Mrs. Lambert is survived by her husband Terry Lee Lambert of Brinson, GA; her father, William Edward Carrico; her son, James Holscher and wife Jessie of N. C.; sister, Sheila Carrico, of N.C. ; brother, Dewayne Carrico of KY.; and grandchildren, Gabby, Brandon, and Devon ; nieces Ashley Boggs (Joey), and Megan Carrico Embry; and nephew, Dustin Wilks. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Beulah Mae Carrico, and two brothers Dale Edward and Lanny Ray Carrico.
