2nd child and only son born to Thelma Deanie McMahon and Aimee J. Moyaert. He began school in El Paso and moved with the family to Odessa, Texas when he his father, a Chemical Engineer was transferred with El Paso Products, Company. He was an honor graduate of Odessa Permian High School, Class of 1967.

He entered the University of Texas at Arlington studying Mechanical Engineering and graduated in 1973 was a Bachelor of Science Degree in May 1973.

On August 19, 1973, he was riding his motorcycle home from work when he attempted to avoid another vehicle who had come into his path and he struck a guard rail and was thrown from the motorcycle. This was in the 4800 block of Randol Mill Road in Arlington. He was first hospitalized in Arlington and then transferred to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where died from pneumonia secondary to his internal injuries.

He was survived by his parents of Odessa and his older sister, Deanie Aileen Martin of Denton, Texas.
