Alice Kay (Smith) Hoggard, 75, of Lafayette, passed away at 5:21 AM on Monday, July 01, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette. Born July 11, 1937 in Attica, IN, she was the daughter of the late Guy William and Clara Louise (Keith) Smith.
Alice married William J. Hoggard on September 21, 1958 in Oxford, IN and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2006. She had worked at General Foods, Essex Wire, and Purdue University. She was a member of the Eagles and a 35-year member of the Moose.
Surviving are her three sons, Guy Dennis Hoggard (companion, Angie Clark) and William Hoggard, Jr. (wife, Pamela) both of Lafayette and Charles Eugene Hoggard (wife, Angie) of Clarks Hill; two sisters, Greta Louise Beaman and Janet Elaine Smith both of Lafayette; and a brother Guy Douglas Smith of Danville, IL. Twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation one half hour prior to the 10:00 AM service on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Simplicity Funeral Care, with Pastor Joseph E. Park officiating. Burial to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
