Mr. Habiger was a retired farmer and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Brookville. He was past president of the Saline County Farmers Union, member of
the Knights of Columbus, president of the Jolly Mixers Club, past president of the Bavaria Alumni Association, past-president of the Farmers Co-op Elevator, Bavaria, president of St. Joseph's Cemetery, Brookville, past president of the Midway Antique Auto Club, and a member of the Moose Lodge and the Sunflower Polka Club.
Survivors included his wife, Nola; two sons, Bob of Great Bend and Bill of Joliet, Illinois; four daughters, Irene Jones and Virginia Clark, both of Salina, Helen McClellan of Shreveport, La., and Grace Barben of Kansas City; 15 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
