Theodore Joseph Dinkel was born November 9, 1925, at Antonino, Kansas. He died April 20, 2001, at his home in Salina.

Mr. Dinkel lived in Salina most of his life, moving from Hays. He was a signalman for Union Pacific Railroad and an Army veteran.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1432, Brotherhood of Railway Signalmen and Union Pacific Oldtimers Association.

Survivors includes his wife, Elizabeth I.; a son, Mark J. Dinkel; a daughter, Mary E. Kist; a brother, Victor; two sisters, Adeline Belleau and Marge French; and two grandchildren.
