ALEXANDER, SR., RICHARD L.

Age 84, of Hamilton Ohio died Friday, February 27-2015 in Hospice of Hamilton after a long and courageous battle with cancer for the last twelve years. He was born in Excello, Ohio on December 18-1930, the son of Donald and Glenna{Ruble}Alexander. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from June 1949 to December 1952. He married Rosemary Krokovich on November 27-1952 and she preceded him in death in November-1995. He married Janet Wimmer on March 17-1998 in Vevay Indiana. He was President of Marshall Electric, Inc. for forty five years. He was a member of St. Peter in Chains Roman Catholic Church, former Lion Club Member, twice president; Knights of Columbus, Father Butler Council, a Kentucky Colonel; St Vincent DePaul Society, former field manager and Treasurer of the West Side Little League and a former member of the Elks Lodge, Dick enjoyed traveling in his RV and enjoyed his summer home at Lake Santee in Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Janet; two daughters Romany Alexander and Renee Jeffies both of Hamilton Ohio three sons, Richard Jr.,[Stephanie]Alexander of San Antonio Texas, Robert{Sharon}Alexander of Erlanger Kentucky and Ross Alexander if Fairfield Ohio; step children Larry[Mary Ann]Austin of Fairfield Ohio. Patrick[Rhonda]Fagin, Trenton Ohio, Elizabeth Gail Fagin Hamilton Ohio, Jennifer[Danny]Deaton Millville Ohio, Mike Weigel Hamilton Ohio, and Matt Weigel of Hamilton Ohio; his sister Suellen[Tom] Strech of West Chester Ohio,fifteen grandchildren, April Ninke Gary and Sara Alexander, Jack, Kyle and Travis Jeffies, Jodi Leverman, Laura Philpot, MONCIA and Tanner Alexander, Jodell Lepley, Janie Fagin, Amy Deaton, Nicholas Austin and Zachary Fagin and six great grandchildren, Mya Alexander, Bailey, Brody and Jack Jeffries and Grace and Sammie Leverman. The family wishes to thank Dr. Feeney, Dr. Nehaus, and Dr. Lang and doctors and nurses at Fort Hamilton Hospital. Funeral serves will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Rev. Edwin Beck officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery Hamilton Ohio. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
