James Timothy McNeil, son of the late Sam & Pearl McCloud McNeil, was born May 16, 1925 in Laurinburg, N.C. and departed this life, Sunday, September 18, 1983 at his home, Oxford, NC. Always a hard worker, he was a former employee of Union National Bank; for several years worked as a gardener and for the past fourteen years was employed at the Cristex Corporation, Oxford, NC. He was a member of Bible Way Church of Providence whre he served on the deacon board and in other capacities. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katie Cheatham McNeil of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Madge Blackstone, Mrs. Ethel Hilloway, Miss Joan McNeil, Miss Pearl McNeil all of Trenton, NJ ; tow sons, James Timothy McNeil, Jr; of Trenton, N.J. and Samuel McNeil of cofield, N.C.; a very good and special friend Lawrence Rudisill, of oxford; one sister, Mrs. Lucille dockery of Laurinburg, N.C.; one brother, John Gaston McNeil also of Laurinburg, N.C: 21 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and remembering friends.
