Mrs. Geneva Gaye Holbrook Blevins, age 79, of 2601 Topia Rd., Piney Creek, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center In Winston-Salem, Mrs. Blevins was born January 15, 1934 In Alleghany County to the late Lacy Britt and Carrie Aretta Cox Holbrook. She worked for several years for Alleghany County Schools In the Piney Creek School Cafeteria. She Is survived by her husband, Fletcher Allen Blevins of the home; one son: Scott Allen Blevins and wife Brandy of Wilkesboro; Three grandchildren: Kristen,Connor,and Caitlyn Blevins; one brother: Bill Holbrook and wife Millie of Laurel Springs; one uncle: Lake Cox of N. Wilkesboro; one aunt Jean Miller of Laurel Springs; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 2 P.M. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Mt Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Felts Officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will recieve friends from 6 untill 8 P.M. Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Grandview memorial Funeral Home In Sparta.
