June 9, 2013 in Tallahassee, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 15, 2013
at Pinegrove Baptist Church in Madison. Donations may be made to the Humane Society in her memory. She was born and raised in Batavia, NY where she graduated from high school and also business college. She worked for the Pentagon in Washington DC for several years. She was married to Gaines Starling and moved to Madison in 1953 where she raised her family. In Madison she worked with Copeland Gas Co., Owens
-Illinois Bag Plant, Madison County School Board and
recently as the receptionist for the Madison County Animal Control.
She always stayed very active during her life. She loved her
pets and adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Madison. She is survived by 2 sons, William “Bill” Rollins of Rochester, NY and Gaines R. Starling, Jr. of Madison, 3 daughters, Donna Rollins of Madison, Linda Dougan (Walter) of Lawrenceville GA, and Peggy McGhin of Madison, 3 brothers Paul Marone
(Esther) of Batavia, NY, Dominic Marone of Batavia NY, and John Marone (Jane) of Lancaster NY, a sister, Geraldine Rowcliffe of Spring Hill, FL, a sister in-law, Joyce Starling Barnes of Madison, 6 grandchildren, Josh Rollins (Jewell), Ginger Robinson(Brad), Emily Morrison (Andy), Victor Dougan, Jessica Kennedy, Angie Rollins,
3 great grandchildren, Julua Rollins, Zane Rollins
and Bryce Robinson. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Angie Marone, Concie Merritt White, and a brother, Emile “Buster”
