He was married two times. His first wife Margaret Maude (Brough)Dixon was badly injured in a sledding accident http://www.canlii.org/en/ca/scc/doc/1924/1924canlii23/1924canlii23.pdf and she died Mar 26 1925 while their children were teenagers. Children from this marriage were William, Bruce, Margaret, and Fulton. His Son Fulton drowned in the Sandy River @ Dodge Park in Portland, Oregon as a teenager. Margaret is my Grandmother. Bruce never had any children.
William Dixon remarried to Mary Ann (Minnie)(Dudgeon) Dixon. They did not have any children together. They did do traveling and did a round the world trip by ship.

This is an age of specialization, a fact which finds exemplification in no department of activity more largely than in the medical profession. Following the trend of the times, Dr. William Dixon is limiting his practice to X-ray work and since establishing his office in Edmonton his professional labors have been rewarded by a marked degree of success. He was born in Caledonia, Ontario, in 1879, and is of English descent in the paternal line,while his maternal ancestors were of Scotch lineage. His father, Benjamin Dixon, was born in Yorkshire, England, in 1854 and in 1872, when a young man of eighteen years, he came to Canada, settling in Ontario. He was married in that province, in 1878, to Agnes McLellan, who is now a resident of Hamilton, Ontario, but his death occurred in 1913.
After completing his public school training William Dixon attended the Collegiate Institute at Brantford, Ontario, and then entered the medical department of the University of Toronto, from which he was graduated in 1904. He served his professional novitiate at Wetaskiwin, Alberta, where he remained in general practice until December, 1915, when he enlisted for
service in the World war, becoming a lieutenant in the Royal Arms Medical Corps, with which he went overseas. For a short time he was stationed in London, England, and in May, 1916, was ordered to France with the Seventy-second Field ambulance, remaining in that country until 1917. He returned to Alberta in April of that year. In 1918 he located in Edmonton and since coming- to the city he has built up a large practice as an X-ray specialist, being regarded as an expert in this branch of medical science.
Dr. Dixon was married June 12, 1906, at Toronto, Ontario, to Miss Margaret Maude Brough, a daughter of William Brough. Dr. and Mrs. Dixon
have three children : Bruce, who was born in 1909; Margaret; and Fulton, born in 1913. Dr. Dixon is a Chapter Mason and his political support is given to the Liberal party, while his religious views are in accord with the doctrines of the Presbyterian church. He devotes much time to study, keeping in close touch with all new developments in the line in which he specializes, and his pronounced ability is not only demonstrated by his success in practice but is also attested by his professional colleagues and
associates.
