He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont on Jan. 18, 1932, the son of Frederick and Mabel (Simpson) Bugbee. He married Sheila M. Carr on Sept. 5, 1954; they lived in St. Johnsbury until they had their home built home in Waterford. Together they built their camp on Newark Pond and enjoyed many family gatherings there.
Survivors include Sheila, his wife of 59 years; daughter Karen Bugbee and Michael Dow of St. Johnsbury, daughter Bonnie Darling and husband Matt of Newark; 3 grandchildren: Kaytlyn Darling, Daniel Darling and wife Chelsea, and Bridget Wood, sister Beverly Lane of St. Johnsbury; sister-in-law Pat Kerl and husband Don of South Carolina, sister-in-law Rita Bugbee Bean of St. Johnsbury; many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter Brenda Jean in 1956, his son Lyn Alton Bugbee in 1992, and brother Durwood Bugbee.
