Bethany Elmore Aycock, 82, of Kenly, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009. Born in Johnston County on June 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Fate and Naomi Davis Elmore. Her husband was the Joseph Glenn Aycock. She was a member of Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 23 in Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
Surviving are her son, Joe Aycock and wife Carolyn of Selma; a brother, Aaron Elmore of Hampton, Va., a granddaughter, Stephanie Aycock Hough, her husband, Adam and son Blake, all of Kenly; a step-grandson, Tim Keene, his wife Stephanie and children Jordan and Logan, all of Princeton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
