Citra - C. Edward Loreman, 69, Citra, Fla., went to meet his Lord on June 18, 2013, in Ocala Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy E. Loreman, Citra, FL; brother, James Loreman, his wife, Sonja Loreman of Jonestown, PA; sister-in-law, Patricia Sharr of White Hall, PA; many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and great-grand-nieces and nephews, all throughout the US, as well as many friends and neighbors. He will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clara Loreman, and in-laws, Floyd and Helen Prowant.
Mr. Loreman served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam; upon leaving the service, he worked for Magee Carpet Co. and Sharrett's Furniture Store in Bloomsburg. He also worked for Korey Esso in Fort Edwards, NY, and Sawyer & Co., Glens Falls, NY, hauling steel; as well as working for Pine Barn Inn and Pensyfanish Dutch Foods, Danville. Mr. Loreman also was a distributor for Matco Tools in the Bloomsburg, Berwick, and Danville areas. He drove a truck for Herb Brown Trucking in Mifflinville, hauling railroad car parts for Berwick Forge & Fabricating in Berwick, to its Renovo and Pittsburgh plants, as well as flour for Maier's Bakery in Berwick, from Binghamton, NY.
After retiring, he and his wife had an 80-plus-acre Certified Organic Farm in Catawissa before moving to Citra, FL, where they fully retired. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed building race cars and tinkering in his garage.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at Little Pine Methodist Church, 6925 E. County Road 316, Citra, FL, with the Reverend Delbert King officiating. Visitation will start at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Simmons Baptist Church Cemetery, Citra, FL. A meal will be provided at the Little Pine Methodist Church following the interment.
