A daughter of James Edward and Mrs. Sarah Doskey Wilder Newbern, she lived in Virginia Beach 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, surviving are three sons, Thomas G. Adams Jr. and Floyd E. Adams of Oceana and John E Adams of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Blanche Morris of Oceana; three sisters, Mrs. Grace M. Bridges of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Rachael Ohlinger of Charlottesville and Mrs. Mary L Junkermann of Crumlynne, Pa.; two brothers, Sumler J. Newbern of Portsmouth and Thomas B. Bunting of London Bridge; three granddaughters and two grandsons.
The body was taken to Maestas Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church by the Rev. H. Wadell Waters. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The body will be in the church at 1 p.m.
