Agnes G. Barczewski, age 80, of Elkton, MD died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at her residence.
Born in Wilmington, DE on October 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Conrad and Frances Korziniecka Gawinski. Mrs. Barczewski was a beautician, having owned Agnes Beauty Salon in Wilmington, DE. Among her many activities, she had been a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for more than 30 years. She participated in the church Leisure Club, where she had many dear and special friends. A loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family, she also loved to paint, read and travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Stanley L. Barczewski. Survivors include her children, Mary A. Barczewski and her companion, Max Bachellerie, Paris, France, Katherine and Chuck Straughn, Marathon, FL, Stanley C. and Joyce Barczewski, Fair Hill, MD, Richard A. Barczewski and wife, Ruthie Franczek, Smyrna, DE and Thomas S. and Ann Barczewski, Fair Hill, MD; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Church, 455 Bow St., Elkton, MD, 21921, where visitation will begin in the church chapel at 9 am. Interment will be Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
Flowers are welcome; however if desired, contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church.
