Walter W. Arnesen
Carrsville - Walter William Arnesen, 65, passed away October 8, 2012. A native of Brooklyn, NY, he retired from the New York City Police Department after twenty years of service. He retired from the United States Air Force and was a Navy Seabee veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 4411.
Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Virginia Amelia Arnesen; two daughters, Candice S. Grams and Tracie M. Molaro; a son, Kenneth E. Arnesen; sister, Shirley Zitterman ; brother, Frederick Arnesen and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Jim Hyatt officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at 12 Noon at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
