(I don't know what year is correct as I think he either had no stone or it was replaced at a much later date)
-----------------------

His parents were Abraham & Mercy (Atkins) Clark.
Amos may have been born in in NJ but I've seen him in census' as b. NY too. The family was found in several states & Canada.
Some of this family removed to Winnesheik Co., IA.

Amos married 1st to Lydia Kimball 28 Sep 1841 in Kane Co., Ill.

They had 4 children; Hannah, Rebecca, Thursa & James M.

Thursa, also known as Thersa, married Samuel Griswold in Iowa. (Divorced I think and married at least once more.)
She had 4 children with Griswold: Frank, Vernon Eugene, Ida May and Alice.

Rebecca married John McLain.

Hannah married George Clapp.

James Madison Clark, married Celestia Pratt. James & Celestia are buried in Wauconda.

Amos then married Caroline McGee in McHenry Co., IL in December of 1846.
They had Alice Adele, Belvaett, and Charles.

Alice Adele was married at least 3 times to Charles Burnett/Brunet, Fred Frush & Hiram Frosch.

Her life came to a very sad suicidal ending in Michigan as she was depressed about her father.

One of the children with her husband, Fred, is buried here:
Fred W. FROSCH (1883-1928) interred in Forest Home Cemetery in Greenville, Montcalm Co., MI

Belvaett married Thomas Blakely. I can't find anything further.

I do not know what happened to son, Charles. He may have married Laura Potter. He was residing in Gratiot Co., MI in 1891. I have not verified this.
----
Amos married a third time to Caroline. Will have to get info from my tree.

If anyone knows about this family please contact me.
