66, died Sunday night at John
Sealy Hospital in Galveston.
Service
will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at
St. John Baptist Church, Texas
City, the Rev. S. George Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Mainland
Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock,
under direction of Mainland Memorial
Funeral Home of La
Marque.
A wake will be 7-8 p.m. Wednesday
at the funeral home.
Mr. Murray was born Aug. 2,
1919 in Madisonville. A retired laborer
for Gulf Chemicals, he was
a member of Jericho Lodge No
106 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Lola
Mae Murray of Texas City; a
daughter, Gloria Murray of Texas
City; three brothers, Jessie Butler
and M.C. Murray, both of Texas
City, Lloyd Murray of La Marque;
three sisters, Robbie Shackeforth,
Dorothy M. Jackson, Louise
Nauls, all of Houston; and a host
of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be members of
Jericho Lodge No. 106. Visitors
may call at the funeral home after
1 p.m. Wednesday.
