JAMES ACKLEY

James Ackley, a long time resident of the Sigel area, died at his home there last Sunday morning at the age of 80 years, following a long illness. Mr. Ackley, a native of Clarion county, was a son of Charles and Angeline Cleet Ackley and was married in Brookville on August 13, 1884, to Annie Brink, of Sigel, who survives him.

He leaves four daughters and three sons: Margaret, of Ridgway; Mrs. Fred Milford, of Oil City; Mrs. C. R. Johnson, of Brookville; Mrs. R. N. Scott, of Torpedo; James E., of Kane; C. D. Ackley, of Rochester, N.Y., and Paul Ackley, of Sigel. Also a sister, Mrs. Alice McIntyre, of Mechanicsville.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Kahletown Methodist Church, of which the deceased was a member. Interment was in the Kahletown cemetery.
