Willie Mae was the third of 11 children born to Clarence P and Cora T (Russell) Elliott. She married Bernie Winder in 1948 and they adopted their daughter, Bernadine, in 1959. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings Bill, Delma Eppler, Curtis, Jim, Ernestine Watson, Ladelle Hughes and Rodney. She was survived by her daughter Bernadine Carter, granddaughters Amanda Bennett, Elizabeth Ervin and Toni Kendall (Adam) Vansco, and great grandchildren Bryan Tippit, Destiny Montemayor, Caleb and Dylan Jones, Mason Rodriguez, Madison Evett, Connor and Kalyn Willis, and siblings Otis and Howard Elliott and Ann Winsett.
