John Curtis "Johnny" Gore

Johnny was born on June 1, 1967, the second son of Rev. Robert Lee Sr. and Mary Louise Hudson Gore. He was married to Janna Stamey Gore and had two children, Samantha Leigh "Sam" Gore and Jeremy Gore, all of Lincolnton, NC. He was born in Florence, SC, but had lived in Lincolnton, NC, for many years before his untimely passing.

He loved to go fishing, and to Carolina Panthers football games. He raised roosters and chickens, and had many pet dogs over the years. He was a previous baseball coach for the little league team that his son, Jeremy, played on when he was younger. He attended his daughter, Sam's, high school graduation, but passed away before his son, Jeremy, had time to graduate, which he did soon after his father's death.

Johnny passed away in his sleep at the age of 42 on May 3, 2009. He left behind his wife and two children, and his 5 siblings to mourn him - his three brothers, Rev. Robert Lee "Bobby" Gore Jr. (and wife Robin Freeman Gore), David Marshall Gore (and wife, Lisa Berry), and Mark Emory Gore, and his two older sisters, Mitzi Marie Gore Marks, and Jill Elizabeth Gore Privette. He also had 3 older half-siblings, Von Gregory Gore, Jonathan Curtis "Curtie" Gore, and Cyd Vivian "Cy" Gore Raney, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who miss him dearly.

May he rest in peace!
