George J. Haggerty, 83, of Euclid died May 29, 2013, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. Born Feb. 22, 1930, in Cleveland, he lived in Willoughby before moving to Euclid 39 years ago.
He was a former member of the Irish American Club, East Side. George worked as the Maytag Repair Man.
George was the beloved husband of Patrice (nee Scully); dear father of Kathleen "Kitty" (Ronald) Decker, Susan Dean, George Jr. (Debbie), Daniel (Laura), Laura (Greg) Skok, Maureen (Robert) Kascak; grandfather of Nicole (Scott) Brosnitch, George (Natalia) Haggerty, Jennifer (Anthony) Luciano, Daniel and Christa Haggerty, Gregory (Tammy) Skok, Jason (Kristen) Skok, Elizabeth Skok, Jennifer (David) Edwards, Kristen (Ryan) Carroll, Holly (Marc) Vertock; great grandfather of 12; brother in law of Catherine and Beverly Haggerty, Mary Smerick.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, William, Richard, Jerome, Rosemary Betz, Angela Martin and Theresa Haggerty.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, Ss. Robert & William Parish, 367 East 260 St., Euclid, with burial taking place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
Family will receive friends 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve would be appreciated.
