Phyllis was a supervisor for the Bell Telephone Company and later served as a teacher's aide for learning disabled children in the Hazleton School District. But she considered her most important job to be homemaking and the care of her family. She was a charter member of the Wheel Estaters Travel Trailer Club and loved to camp and travel. She enjoyed sewing, baking and genealogy. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hazleton, St. John's Lutheran Church, St. John's, PA and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hershey, PA.
Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Jeff) Budgeon of Elizabethtown, PA, and Lois (Brian) Lisko of Arlington, VA; grandchildren, Lee Ann Budgeon (Greg) Miller and Christian & Patrick Lisko; great-granddaughters, Delaney & Reagan Miller; sisters, June Wargo and Beverly Zeisloft; and a brother, Robert Edwards. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Poltrock and brothers, Owen and Charles Edwards.
A private family memorial service will be held in her church with The Rev. Cindy Brommer officiating. Interment will be in Elan Park, Bloomsburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are made to Alzheimer's Association 3544 N Progress Ave Harrisburg, PA 17110.
