Frankie was a student at John H. Francis Polytechnic High School, Class of 1991 at the time of his death.

Prior to his death, Frankie had been in an accident and shattered his right leg. He struggled in and out of the hospital to return to school with a pins and a leg brace protruding from his leg. Yet his spirit kept him going and he managed to get to class on time even though he had to use crutches. Sometimes he got there before the rest of us, and we had two good legs!

When he had the brace taken off, and was back to being himself, into a normal routine and life, preparing for our graduation in May. However, in a brief moment a gang member took his life when he was at a convinience store at the wrong time.

Frankie had a captivating smile, a warm generous heart, with his whole life ahead of him. He had dreamt of attending college in the fall 1991 and majoring in business management.

He is missed and loved by many.

I miss the smile that brightened school days, he was a true gentleman. When my spirits are low, I look towards the sky and smile at him, I know in my heart he is in heaven and when the sun peeks through the clouds, that's him, smiling back at me.
