She was the former Virgie Brock, a native of Pineville, Kentucky, and a member of the Word of Truth Church.
Virgie was survived by her husband, Chester Allen Bennett Sr; a daughter, Dorothy Thomas; three sons, Chester Bennett Jr., Gary Bennett, and Steven Bennett; a sister Nannie Brock (of Cincinnati, Ohio); 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
