MADISON — George H. "Bob" Clark, age 81, died on Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on November 12, 1918, in Dodgeville, the son of Earl and Salome (LaBounty) Clark. George worked as a carpenter with Findorff Construction for more than 20 years. He was a member of VFW Post 7591 and Carpenters Union No. 314. George is survived by three daughters, Joann Delaney of Madison, Christine Scharrschmidt of Janesville, and Mary (Joe) Rabuck of Madison; three sons, Robert, William and Jeff, all of Madison; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Mae (Pepper) Martin of Naples, Florida; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith; son-in-law, Paul Scharrschmidt; and a sister, Pat Carr. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, on Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. Father Kent Schmitt will preside. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, where military rites will be conducted by the Madison Veterans Firing Squad.
