INTROSPECTION
by Arlis O. Armstrong
How many warm smiles
Have I scattered today?
Did I give a word of praise
To smooth life's rugged way?
Did I warmly clasp a hand
To show I really care . . .
That burdens of life
Are sometimes hard to bear?
Could a kind tender smile,
And gentle words to sway
Help just one lost soul
To see the golden ray?
If I can do this . . .
I'll truly serve my Lord!
Then each day will bring
A peaceful sweet reward.
