Noah Francis Elmore was born near Roby, Mo., March 20, 1863, and died March 10, 1946, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eva Elliott, Houston, Mo. At the time of death he was 82 years, 11 months and 20 days.
He was the son of Elisha and Ibbie Bell Elmore. He had four brothers and two sisters. The brothers were George, William, Dewitt and Jackson. The sisters were Angeline Mezo and Jessee Tennessee Elmore, all have preceded him in death, except his brother, Jackson, who lives in Wichita, Kansas.
He was married to Arrilla Victoria Jeffries, April 27, 1892, who also preceded him in death, October 22, 1931.
To this union five children were born, one daughter dying in infancy. Those who survive him are DeWitt and Arthur, of Roby, Mo.; Mrs. Estella Shaw, of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Eva Elliott, of Houston, Mo.
He had 10 grandchildren, eight of whom are still living, and other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Noah Elmore was a good neighbor and friend, always ready to help in times of sickness and need. He was a kind husband and father and bore his sickness and suffering bravely and responded quietly to the Master's call.
Graveside funeral services were conducted at the Knob cemetery, near Roby, by the Rev. M.C. Gorrell, March 11, 1946, at 2:00 p.m.
Burial under the direction of the Elliott Funeral Home.
