Ezra B. Elmore, son of George and Germmia (?) Elmore, was born near Plato, Mo., on the 23rd day of January, 1860, and passed away December 13, 1945; making his age at the time of death 85 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Uncle Ezra was married but had no children. He was a faithful, trustworthy gentleman, kind and loving to all until death.
He leaves to mourn his passing; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Cross, of Lebanon, Mo.; a nephew and cousins, who include Arthur Elmore, Willie Elmore, Charles Elmore, Noah Elmore, and Dee Elmore, and other relatives.
Weep not for him, he is at rest,
Where the streets are paved with gold;
And the joys he brought when he tarried here,
Is a memory we will always hold.
Graveside funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., December 14, at the Knob cemetery, near Roby, Mo., conducted by the Rev. M.C. Gorrell. Burial in this cemetery by the Elliott Funeral Home, of Houston, Mo.
