Robert Clay Bass, 61, passed away Monday. The funeral will be held Wednesday at Joyner's Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Black Creek Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Murray Bass; two daughters, Debbie Bass Vick and Sharon Bass Speight, both of Wilson; a stepdaughter Sandra Curlings of Beaufort; a stepson, Charles Curlings of Goldsboro; his mother, Selma Bowden Bass of Wilson; three sisters,Pearl Saunders of Saratoga, Helen Edwards of Wilson and Susie Barnes of Newport; six brothers, Wilbur M. Bass of North Topsail, Derl G Bass, Joseph W. Bass and Henry M. Bass, all of Wilson, Roland D. Bass of Elm City and Ronnie L. Bass of Stantonsburg; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Dorise B. Bass.
