Allen W. Barnes, age 40, of Chattanooga, TN, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 15, at his residence, of an sudden illness.

Allen was born in Columbus, IN. on June 23, 1972, the son of Billy Jack and Alice E. Barnes of McMinnville, TN.

He worked as a factory worker and was a member of the Jefferson Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Smithville, TN.

Allen is survived by his parents, Billy Jack and Alice E. Barnes of McMinnville, TN, a daughter, Sarah E. Barnes, of Hendersonville, TN; two sons Travis A. Barnes, of McMinnville, TN; Charles (Chase) B. Barnes, of Hendersonville, TN; two sisters, Kathy J., and husband Mark Crawley, of Chattanooga, TN; Tammy L., and husband David Adams, of Tullahoma,TN; three brothers, Terry W. Hicks, of Tullahoma, TN; Larry M., and wife Donna Barnes, of McMinnville, TN; Justin C. Barnes, of Chattanooga, TN;

Preceded in death by his daughter, Ashlyn N. Barnes.

Family will receive friend Friday, May 17, 2013 from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Gardens Of Memory Funeral Home also Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M. the time of the service at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home chapel.

Funeral Service for Mr. Allen W. Barnes will be held at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, Mc Minnville, TN, at 2 P.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 with Bro. Dewight Knowles officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to pay funeral expenses.

Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery White County, TN.

Gardens of Memory Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
