Willard Harrison Adkins, Sr., of Greensboro, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1996, at Moses Cone Hospital.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A native of Danville, Va., he was retired from George C. Brown Cedar Company.
He is survived by his daughters, Delores Gordon of Asheboro, Betty Adkins of Greensboro; son, Willard Adkins, Jr. of McLeansville; stepson, David Upchurch of South Carolina; sisters, Clara Bray, Margaret Upchurch, both of Greensboro, Catherine Hammock of Kernersville; brother, Lindsay Lynch of Burlington; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and other times at 5419 Smiley Wyrick Road, McLeansville.
