Lonnie "Emerson" Gandy, 70, is the son of the late George Wesley and Mary Francis McLendon Gandy, he was a retired painter and a member of Merrillville Baptist Church. He attended Central High School in Thomasville and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, sons Jonathan and Ashley, stepson Todd; daughter-in-law Jessica, grandchildren Skylar, Michaela, Chelcie and Elizabeth, brothers George, Lavaughn and Stanley; sisters Kay, Shelba, Linda and Gail
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ben Gandy.
