Mrs. Mary Belle Ballard, 87, of Anderson, Missouri departed this life on Saturday evening, May 11, 2013 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri after a recent decline in health.

Mary entered this life on December 24, 1925 in Buena Vista, Arkansas born to the union of the late William Thomas and Alice (Lawton) Byars. She was raised in Camden, Arkansas and resided most of her adult life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She moved to Anderson, Missouri in 1994 where she worked in the deli at Jiffy-Mart until her health began to fail. She enjoyed working in her garden and followed the Christian faith throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Joe and John Collins; and three sisters, Alpha Blackwell, Catherine Branson and Virginia Bloyd.

Mary is survived by two sons, Robert Warren of Anderson, Missouri and Jim Collins and wife, Sherry, also of Anderson; a daughter, Mary McIntosh of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ballard are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Jeremy Evens officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Davy Berry, Zack Berry, Kyle Berry, Eric Berry, Justin Collins, Jeremy Collins, Ike Remmer, Utah Remmer and John McIntosh.
