Dorothy Ann Myers Wixom, 84, passed away Thursday,
April 30, 1998, at the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing
Facility in Montpelier.
She was born April 14, 1914 in Pocatello to Thomas
and Lydia Alzina Calvert Myers. She attended school
in Pocatello.
She married Hyrum Allen Wixom, Nov. 29, 1933, in
Paris. Their marriage was solerrmized Nov. 5, 1947
in the Logan LDS Temple. She was an active member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which
she served many years as a Primary teacher, Sunday
School teacher and visiting teacher. She enjoyed fishing, handwork and her family.
Dorothy is survived by four children, Keith and Jean
Wixom of Morgan, Ut., Colleen and LaVere King of Montpelier, Dale and Gloria Wixom of Montpelier, Ann and
Robert McCulloch of Idaho Falls; 19 grandchildren, 43
great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and two sisters, Elaine Smith and Barbara Newman, both of Montpelier. She was preceded in death by her husband
and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 4, at the Mont-
pelier Second Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
