August Schukei was the son of Ferninand and Louise (Kuehn) Schukei. He lived and farmed in the Holstein, NE area for 65 years, before moving to San Ramon, CA.
He married Rachel Meyers and they had one son, Jerry.
Services were held at St. Philip Lutheran Church at Dublin, CA.
He was survived by his wife, Rachel of San Ramon; son, Jerry, of Lincoln, CA; four stepchildren, Irene, Betty, Wesley and Duane; one sister, Emily Parr of Bladen, NE;three grandchildren;10 step-grandchildren;one great-grandchild; and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brother, Emil and Paul, and brother Ferdinand.
