Funeral services for Ernest Doyle Davis, 66, of Kirbyville will be at 2 p.m. today at Victory Assembly of God Church with Rev. Percy Bailey officiating, assisted by Rev. J.C. Jones and Rev. Steve Hayes. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery with Al Prevost, James Ferguson, Valton Lackey, Jesse Marshall, John Arnold and Dalton Davis serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Davis died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, July 30, 1979 at St. Elizabeth Hospital after an illness.

A native of Jasper County, he had lived most of his life in the Kirbyville area. He was retired from the maintenance department of Gulf Oil.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtie Travis Davis of Kirbyville; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Quave of Kirbyville and Mrs. Sharon Chandler of Nederland; three sons, Gerald D. Davis of Kirbyville, Dennis D. Davis of Port Neches and Dean Davis of Nederland; a sister, Mrs. Thelma Holly of Kirbyville; two brothers, Cecil Davis Sr. of Lumberton and Melvin Davis of Fort Worth; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home.
