ALBANY, Ga. - Mrs. Noah Slade (Eva Butler) Gardner, 87, died Friday, April 28, 1995, in Albany, Ga.

Her funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with interment to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The Rev. Don Ledbetter will officiate.

A native of Burke County, N.C., she had lived in Albany since 1990. She was a graduate of Guilford College and taught Biblical Studies and Greek for 39 years at Kernersville Bible College and John Wesley College. She authored articles for religious and professional publications. She served as a speech therapist for the Kiwanis Crippled Children's Summer Camp at Salisbury. She was a member of Hunter Hills Friends Church in Greensboro.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George F. (Rebecca Gardner) Hobaugh of Albany, Ga.; son, Jack Butler Gardner of Sarasota, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. T. Wade Dunn of High Point, and Mrs. P. Frank Phillips of Burlington; four grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
