Stella "Ma" Beer, a long time resident of Willow Glen in San Jose, CA. passed away peacefully at home at 101 years of age on November 20th, 2011. She was born in Payson, Utah on July 6, 1910 and was one of twelve children born to John and Anna Jensen Lerwill.

She married Thomas Lee Beer in 1932 and they spent 54 happy years together until his passing in 1986. They reared three daughters together, Bonita (Mrs. Dean Houser), Leanne (Mrs. Raymond Mayo) and Karen (Mrs. Walter Loewenstern), traveled the world, enjoyed friends and family and always had an active and fun filled life. She loved dancing, making afghans and attending the ballet. Stella also enjoyed operating her own business as a cosmetologist for many years.

Stella has always had an open door, a warm meal, a shoulder to cry on and love in her heart for her large family of 65. Her home was always filled with fun and laughter. She has lovingly nurtured 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. In 2010, family and friends came together to celebrate her 100th birthday at a grand party in San Jose, CA.

After her milestone 100th birthday, she continued to travel, enjoy her kitty Lexi and had Sunday dinners with all those who loved her. She enjoyed the final years of her life in the loving care of her companions and caregivers Robert and Rachel Spivack and Robert Robbins.

The family would also like to thank Dr. David, Dr. Hanno, Dr. D., and her nurses Jamie and Loa.

She will always live on in the hearts of all who knew her and the stories of her they pass on in the years to come. She has been a role model for how to live a productive, healthy, happy, long and most importantly loving life for everyone who has ever known her. She will be missed and remembered by them with lasting love.

Stella was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will be remembered at a service in Spanish Fork, Utah where she will be interred beside her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either of the following charities which were close to Stella's heart: March of Dimes or the Leukemia Society
