He married about 1943 to Tena Versendaal, born in 1921 in Michigan, daughter of Dick and Magdeliena Versendaal, in 1940 residing with her parents in Holland Township, Ottawa County, Michigan.

Nicholas Leep of Holland will mark his 90th birthday Wednesday, June 4, with a family luncheon. An open house is being held 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church.
His family includes his wife, Tena; children, Mary Ann Leep of Cutlerville, Dave and Myckky Leep of Seattle, Wash., Tim and Bev Leep of Zeeland, and Dan and Deb Leep of Mequon, Wis.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His wife Tena died in October 2008 in Zeeland, Ottawa County. The obituary of his wife Tena is as follows:

Lauderdale, FL, Jackie and Ted De Groot of BlueJay, CA; in-laws, Karen Versendaal of Holland, Theressa Brouwer of Holland; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church, 836 E. 8th St., Holland with Rev. Dick Stravers officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., Zeeland. Memorial contributions may be given to Cary Christian Center, P.O. Box 57, Cary, MS 39054.
