Lloyd (as he was known), was baptized on the 8th March 1901 at St. Jude's Church, Gray's Inn Road, Camden, London.
His father, Arthur was a Police Constable, in the Metropolitan Police Force in London.

"At St Pancras, an inquest was held on the bodies of Dorothy Nutt, aged five years, and Lloyd Nutt, aged two years and six months, sister and brother, the children of a metropolitan police-constable, who were fatally burnt.
The parents of the deceased children occupied a flat at Derby Buildings, King's Cross, and on Monday morning Mrs Nutt left her children alone in bed in the bedroom, to which she was presently attracted by screams. She then found the children's clothing on fire. She suppressed the flames, and both were removed to the Royal Free Hospital.
There was no fire in the bedroom. It appeared that the little boy lit a match and ignited his flannelette nightgown. His sister, similarly attired, in trying to put out the flames, also caught fire. The Jury returned a verdict of "Accidental Death".
